Rituparno Ghosh's The last Lear, which has been doing the rounds of various film festivals abroad, is finally going to see the light of day at the box office. The film, which is produced by Planman Motion Pictures, is due for release on September 12.

The film's promos were recently screened with the film Singh Is Kinng, and the movie promises to be a visual treat for audiences. Amitabh Bachchan is believed to have given a very fine performance in the movie as an ageing theatre actor. The others in the cast include Preity Zinta, Arjun Rampal, Shefali Shah and Divya Dutta. The film has already been screened at film festivals held in Rome, London and Rotterdam.
